The Process
Moodboard
Inspiration derived from older animated cartoons for their colour palettes and funny expressions. Study of current trending characters like Milk & Moca, Shark Puppy, Sailormoon and more emphasized on bold cute simplistic elements in their comic design. This was the vibe achieved here.

Cute pops on social media. Simplistic yet eye catching is also very time efficient when coming up with panels and drawings.

The brand’s signature pink, is essential to the familiarity to the page. Viewers instantly knew it was a post from the account simply by seeing the familiar colour

As the comics have little to no words, the brand relied heavily on expressive reactions. It was important to keep it cute and funny but we all love to laugh at unexpected elements too.
Illustration Commissions
Once I’ve carefully collected all the clients information for their order, I would process it through Milanote. It would keep their moodboards sketches and notes available for the client to see. Aside from replying to client concerns over email I would live stream my clean up work on Twitch (a stream platform) where the client was free to watch my development if they felt inclined. It built a positive experience between the client as I as they could ask questions or interact with me in real time.
